Chrome OSThe first details of Chrome OS describe that it’s a different model of computing". Chrome OS won’t look like the client operating systems we are used to.

Some sources on the internet say that Chrome OS which is a new operating system that will introduced by Google, will not look like the operating systems we're used to. For instance, you won’t be allowed to install software locally. Instead, you will only access web-based applications, and all data will be stored in the Cloud. Chrome OS will arrive preinstalled on machines that meet the company's strict specifications. As part of this, Google is banning hard disks, preferring the speed of flash drives. It will also lay down strict criteria on screen sizes and display resolutions, as it looks to deliver a standard experience across all devices.

Although Google hasn't offered any hint as to how much machines based on the OS will sell for, it will be expected that Chrome OS to arrive within a year.
