TV is not a device you can only see at homes or offices anymore. It’s going to be available anywhere anytime in the near future. But don’t build castles in the air, it’s not for free of course!
Do you expect the networks, cable companies, advertisers and technology providers to do such a service without making any money?
It’s been a while since viewers took full advantages of online television. We can easily watch some shows a day after they are on air on Web sites like Hulu and Youtube. Also many cable stations put their shows on the Web. In December, more than 33 billion shows been watched by approximately 178 million Americans according to online data tracker comScore.
But there is a problem with the free Internet television right now. That’s because advertisers don’t pay the same as they do for TV. What’s more, cable providers don’t want to lose their mutually beneficial partnerships.
There is a great deal of money rounding between advertisers, cable and satellite providers and customers. We are talking about billions of dollars. So, with the free internet TV application, all the need for middle-man like satellite and cable providers will be gone. That’s why they’re behaving so slowly about this innovation.
