The League TV Show - FX

The League TV Show - FX

"The League" TV show is new original comedy series that focuses on a group of buddies. FX's new TV series "The League" is about friendship, marriage, parenting and growing up or refusing to grow up. The show premiered on Thursday, October 29 on FX. If you're already a fan of fantasy football and if you love comedy, I am sure you will also love "The League".

The League TV show tells us a story about male friendship, parenting, marriage, suburbia and growing up or refusing to grow up through a circle of friends.  The show, in which Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, Stephen Rannazzisi, Paul Scheer, Jon Lajoie and Katie Aselton take part, serves the stories through fantasy football.

CAST

Mark Duplass as Pete

American film director, producer, actor and writer Mark Duplassplays Pete in "The League". Pete is a troublemaker who's charming enough to talk his way out of 70% of the messes he gets himself and his friends into.

Nick Kroll as Ruxin

Actor, writer and comedian Nick Kroll takes part as Ruxin. Arrogant yet paranoid. Ruxin is in conflict with himself and the world most of the time.

Jon Lajoie as Taco

Canadian comedian and actor Jon Lajoie plays Taco in the show. How Taco gets by is a hazy mystery. Even to Taco. His older brother Kevin insists he play in the League because Taco setting his lineup is the only way Kevin can be sure he's alive

Stephen Rannazzisi as Kevin

Kevin is the League Commissioner and Pete's best friend.

Paul Scheer as Andre

Andre is a well-established plastic surgeon and is by far the most successful.

Katie Aselton as Jenny

Jenny is Kevin's outspoken wife. She is a guy's girl who rolls with almost anything and holds her own in this group.

I think "The Leauge" will be one of the best TV comedy shows of the fall season.

"one of the best TV shows of the fall season" I hope you mean, "TV comedy shows". Because there's a ton of much better TV series such as: Heroes, Dollhouse, Smallville, etc.

Loved the show. FX network has had a good idea what viewers it's after, and the way TV works these days, a loyal cult can be enough. The League tv series certainly has the goods to get one of those. Great first episode, I'll be watching next thursday.
